CNC OPERATOR/PROGRAMMER

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

Efficiently perform all tasks involved in the production of company’s products, follow standard work methods, and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. Regular attendance is an essential functino of this position.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include but are not limited to: 

 

Program, Set-Up, and Operate CNC Haas HL1 Lathe and a VF2 Vertical Mill.  Both machines have Fanuc Controllers with G&M code.

  • Program, Set-up, and Operate manual drill presses

  • Oversee cattle bowl and curb shoe operation including painting and assembly

  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight with a forklift as required.

  • Work from blueprints

  • Completion of daily production documentation

  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

Other Required Functions:

    Complete and maintain plant cleaning on a daily basis.

    Maintain and track plant inventories

    Direct communication with shipping department

  •  Maintain and or repair machines, tools, patterns, and vehicles

  •  Work on special projects assigned by management

  •  Report all problems and break downs to management

  •  Complete written reports as required to record maintenance actions

  •  Perform other related duties and assignments as required

  •  Improve or repair Company’s fixtures and facilities.

 

Other Required Duties

Fill-in for various job positions in the shop as needed

 All workers are expected to be available to work in all areas of production

This position is in the foundry and involves:

IRON POURER

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

Efficiently perform all tasks involved in the production of company’s products, follow standard work methods, and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to:

  • Pull, lift, transport and direct ladle over molds.

  • Pour molten iron into the molds.

  • Fill ladle with molten iron from electric tilt furnace.

  • Clean and empty ladle.

  • Help shifters and shake-out personnel when necessary.

  • Clean and organize the pour deck at the end of the shift.

  • Remove slag from ladle, add elements and/or chill iron

  • Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and clean work area at the end of each shift

  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

  • All production workers are expected to be available to work in all areas of production.

 

Physical Requirements:

The position is in the foundry and involves:

  • Operate foundry vacuum

  • Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and clean work area at the end of shift

  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

  • All production workers are expected to be available to work in all areas of production

 

Other Required Duties:

  • Assist maintenance when needed

  • Assist with routine maintenance and clean up needs

 

Physical Requirements:

This position is in the factory and involves:

  • Standing, walking, balancing, crawling, crouching, stooping, climbing, bending, sitting, reaching & feeling for long periods of time throughout the work shift.

QUALITY CONTROL & 

SAFETY MANAGER

Summary of duties and responsibilities:

Efficiently perform all tasks involved in the production of company’s products, follow standard work methods, and develop, practice, and direct safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.  Responsible for implementing and overseeing the operation and the efficiency of the overall Quality and Safety programs to ensure the utmost in customer satisfaction and company safety.  Will also be responsible for ensuring continual safety programs and quality improvement within the facility.  Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.

 

Primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

This position will support the ongoing development and maintenance of training and safety and environmental programs to include, but not limited to the following:          

  1. Improve reliability of new product development processes

  2. Maintain company quality standards

  3. Review products, processes and systems on an ongoing basis to determine where improvements can be made

  4. Oversee the product manufacturing process to ensure quality

  5. Actively participate in production meetings with the manufacturing team

  6. Count and inspect casting for defects

  7. Ability to operate fork lift and load containers onto and off of trucks

  8. Perform other related duties and assignments as required.

  9. Following the safety protocols and OSHA standards on all job sites, organize safety training for employees and report problems to management.

  10. Maintain OSHA compliance with the following topics in mind;

       a. Perform routine job safety analyses, building safety inspections and reviews;
